Daily Announcements:

Do you enjoy trying new foods and learning about different countries/  then, join spanish club.  See mrs. Smith in the auditorium anytime to sign up. 
Anyone interested in making a difference in our school by recycling join the Green Team by stopping Ms. Wilson or Mrs. Leitz room before or after school with your $3 membership fee.
JUNIORS:   If you are interested in being on the Junior Class Congress please get a petition from Mrs. Cannon. 
Softball meeting in room 41 Thursday 9/9/2010
Any 2010 Science Club Member in 'Good Standing' can stop by Room # 34 Before School, After School or during Lunch Hour (through Wednesday, September 8th) to pick up a nomination form to run for a Science Club Office.   Elections for Science Club Officiers will be take place in Room # 34 on Friday September 10th, with all ballots cast by the end of the School day on Friday, September 10th.
Student Council election for freshmen will be on fri., sept 10 during lunch in the lobby of thomas gym. Freshmen petitions must be returned to the 3rd floor office by the end of school wed., sept. 8
Elections for the homecoming court will be during english classes this week.
Siu-e representative will be here sept. 13.  Seniors sign up in guidance.  The meeting will be in the lunch room during rti.
 College fair sept. 21 at rend lake-- 6-7:30 in the gym.  Over 30 college reps will be available to answer your questions.  Samples of questions are in your junior/senior planning manuals.  Parents should also attend if possible.
 Nursing and Rad tech majors should sign up for the nursing and/or psb test at rend lake.  You must go to campus to sign up, pay $30, and receive your test confirmation.  Go to the counseling office in the administrative building.  Test dates are:  oct. 5,

Nov.2, and dec.14.  Limited seating so take care of this requirement asap.  You can only test once each semester.
Any student interested in joined the PCHS Shooting Team is invited to an informational meeting at 7:00 on Thursday, September 9 in Mr. Bender's ag room.  Stu Wright will be here to discuss the requirements for being on the team.  It is encouraged that your parents/guardians also attend the meeting. 
Students:  If you signed up to be on the Scholar Bowl team, there will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday, September 9 7:30 in Mrs.  Cannon's room.
There will be an art club meeting this Thursday during lunch in Room 19.  Please bring your t-shirt designs and $2 fees.  It is not too late to sign up for art club so grab your lundh and come and join us.
Students that need to take Mrs. Patterson's Rend Lake English NIght Class need to fill out the required paperwork in Room 25 as soon as possible.  Class will meet at the Rend Lake extention starting Monday Sept. 13 at 3:30 p.m.  
There will be a brief Class Officers meeting today at the beginning of 2nd period in Mrs. Clark’s room.
Any girls who are interested in playing basketball, there will be a meeting this Friday at 7:40 in Coach Engelhardt’s room.
Any boys who are interested in playing baseball, there will be a meeting next Tuesday, September 14 at 7:40 in Coach Engelhardt’s room.
