ART CLUB

Sponsor: Yvonne Tretter

This year our PCHS Art Club will be painting a derby car for the 100th-year celebration, which will take place on October 1. Our Art Club will also be traveling to Steeleville, IL. This semester for the 17th annual Chalkwalk Festival where students from surrounding counties will compete in teams using chalk. Mrs. Tretter says, “I'm not sure of all the activities I will include in the spring, but I do know, I am planning a paint with Bob Ross day where students join me to paint, and I dress up as Bob.” Art Club is a fun and educational way for students to express themselves through art, and our PCHS Art Club accepts and supports everyone and their art. (no matter their skill or experience)

The Art Club meets twice a month in the Art room (Mrs. Tretter's room).

2024 Art Club's Chalk Walk At Steeleville

Group Picture

At the Steeleville Chalk Walk event, students from schools all around gather at the Steeleville High School parking lot to share their love for art by competing in teams. The teams work together to decorate their designated parking spots using chalk and the other resources around them. The goal is always to be creative and have fun.
